Founded in 2013, GIMER Medical has turned novel biomedical engineering technology from National Taiwan University from a research dream into a reality. GIMER focuses on electrical stimulation systems with innovative therapy for pain management. Backed by Medtronic, it is now one of the top medical device manufacturers in Taiwan and was honored with the Taiwan Biomedical Show in 2011 and National Innovation Award in 2016.
With the help of a vibrant electronics supply chain, GIMER’s high quality production facility is the first implantable devices facility in Taiwan. In August 2022, GIMER’s spinal cord stimulation (SCS) system was granted the Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) approval by US FDA, a significant feat by an Asian device maker. Following that approval, Gimer’s second product -- wearable stimulation device StimOn -- was also cleared to market in the US. These milestones are solid proof of GIMER Medical’s technical ability and potential to build the future of pain management.
